Physical Education - Rich Ruelas
My name is Rich Ruelas, and I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree, having majored in Physical Education and minored in Health Education. In addition, I hold a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Western Michigan University. My wife, Alexia, and I got married in 2007 and moved out to Arizona for three years before returning to Michigan in order to be closer to family. We have three beautiful children; Enzo who was born in 2014 and twins Alena and Mateo who were born in 2018. We love to be active outdoors swimming, biking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, camping, and traveling.
Before coming to Glen Lake, I spent three years teaching K-8 Physical Education in Peoria, Arizona. I have been a teacher at Glen Lake Community Schools since 2010 and have taught several grade levels from elementary to high school and subjects ranging from physical education, health, computer applications, and a few exploratory classes. I have a passion for teaching physical education and encouraging students to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle. Also, I love coaching and have coached basketball for fifteen years ranging from seventh grade to varsity. Go Lakers!
