Year Hired at GLCS: 2001
David has taught at Glen Lake since 2001. Prior to this, he worked at Saturn Corporation in a variety of capacities including as an Appearance Coordinator, Senior Product Engineer, and Project Manager. He decided to become a teacher because he wanted to make a positive impact on children and felt passionately about the importance of education. At Saturn he learned the value of critical thinking and team work. As a result, he attempts to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to develop these skills. David loves teaching and is constantly impressed by his students’ energy, positive attitude, and compassion.
David has three children of his own. This has provided him insight into some of the challenges faced by parents and has influenced the way that he teaches.
David has a Bachelors of Science (Social Studies & Elementary Education), Masters of Educational Leadership, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts (Industrial Design) with certification to teach art at all levels.
