High School Teachers

Gerald Angers

I'm in my 3rd year working in the Glen Lake school district as Intervention Specialist. Previous to that I spent 12 years teaching in the Traverse City system in the math department. Prior to working in Traverse City, I was a member of the Waterford School District staff.

I earned a degree from Ferris State University in Math Education with a minor in Physical Education. I also hold a master's degree in Administration from Central Michigan University, and I'm currently working on a National Certification in Strength and Conditioning.

I've coached varsity football for 17 years. In 12 of those years I was the Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and Strength and Conditioning coach. I've helped over 20 student athletes receive college scholarships. Before I started teaching and coaching, I worked at the Ford Motor Company's Wixom Assembly in Quality Control.

My wife Kathy and I have been married 23 years and have two children, 15 year old Megan and 12 year old Duke, who are both students in the Glen Lake Schools system. During the summer I keep myself busy with my lake service business. I also enjoy hunting and fishing, when I get the chance.
