In addition to teaching a variety of life science classes: Biology, Forensic Science, Plants and Bacteria, Zoology, Anatomy and Physiology, AP Environmental Science Mrs. Richard is the Glen Lake Envirothon Advisor and Glen Lake NHS advisor. Mrs. Richard really enjoys teaching science and high school students. She loves to see the students' enthusiasm and interest in the topics studied.
Mrs. Richard grew up in the Traverse City area and graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS in education (major in biology, minor in history). She later earned a Masters Degree (Curriculum and Secondary Education) through Michigan State University. Mrs. Richard has taught in a variety of schools from St. Francis in TC to Adams District 50 in Denver, Colorado.
In her free time, Mrs. Richard enjoys hiking, biking, both down hill and cross country skiing and reading. She is married to Jeff and has one son, Collin and two dogs.
