High School Teachers

Megan Grezeszak

I am one of the music teachers at Glen Lake Community Schools. I teach the elementary, middle and high school bands, as well as elementary general music. This is my second year of teaching, and my first at Glen Lake. I received my Bachelors of Education and Performance degrees from Central Michigan University and my Master of Music degree from Michigan State University.

What I enjoy most about music are the many opportunities to collaborate. There is nothing more enjoyable than making music with others who feel the same. It is a pleasure to work with the students at Glen Lake and watch them develop a love and appreciation for music. I look forward to the excitement and creativity they bring to class everyday. It is a constant reminder to me of the joy the music can bring to others.

Originally, I hail from the Lapeer area. When not in the classroom I enjoy running and am usually training for my next race. Along with running, I enjoy hiking, playing basketball, playing softball, gardening or anything else that will get me outdoors. I am also a member of East Shore Wind Symphony out of Sterling, Michigan, where I have the opportunity to play great music with a terrific group of musicians once a week. We work to promote the importance of music education through performance and collaboration with area schools.
