Advisory Committees

Glen Lake Community Schools is fortunate to have active parents and community members who provide the GLCS administration and Board of Education feedback on our efforts to educate our students for additional study or a career. The number of committees/councils are determined by the Board of Education in collaboration with the Superintendent.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The Parent Advisory Council works the GLCS administrative team to explore, advocate for and work to understand the difficult and complex situations facing the school district in a setting away from the formal board meetings, staff meetings or other administrative gatherings. The education and well-being of the students is the focus of these discussions. For additional information, please use the PAC link on the left side of this page.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The Glen Lake Elementary PTO is a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and school administrators. The PTO meets monthly, on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00PM.  We meet in the elementary school library.  The PTO works throughout the year to raise money to support the school and enhance our classrooms.

The PTO raises money to buy everything from picnic tables to classroom technology with the fall Learn-a-thon and the always popular Spring Carnival.  We also hold free Family Movie nights, the Daddy-Daughter Dance, the spring Mother-Son Sports Day.
