This account will allow students to use the Google Apps tools (Docs, Calendar, Email, Sites and Glen Lake Google Videos) for school-related projects, within our private Google domain, mylakers.org. The Google suite of applications allows for greater collaboration between students and teachers, student access to their Google files from any computer with an Internet connection and venue to practice digital citizenship. For instance, if students are working on a writing assignment at school, students will have it on their Google Docs and can access it from any computer with Internet access. They can also work collaboratively on an assignment by sharing the document with each other, or the teacher, which allows all shared users to edit or comment on the same document. These tools will work best on the free Google Chrome web browser. Parents may request access to their student's account at anytime through the classroom teacher or the Technology Director.
