In September 2023, Glen Lake welcomed a group of German students from Havixbeck, Germany to stay with several Glen Lake families for just over a week. While the Germans were at Glen Lake, they were able to attend classes with Glen Lake students. They also went on a few trips to local or somewhat local spots, like the Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaking down the Crystal River and a trip to the Sky Bridge at Boyne Mountain! They were also here during Glen Lake's Homecoming week so some chose to participate in Homecoming Spirit Week as well as attend the Homecoming dance.
