Before I started teaching at Glen Lake in 2010, I taught for five years at Buckley Community Schools. While I was there I taught both 5th and 6th grade. I have continued to teach 5th grade here at Glen Lake and have loved every minute. Before teaching, I was the Assistant Director at the Leelanau Outdoor Center and enjoyed working with many different ages as they played on the ropes course, learned to work together better, and gained an appreciation of the natural beauty of our area.
When I finally decided my place was in the schools, I attended Grand Valley State University for my Masters in Elementary Education.My husband, Josh, and I love living here and enjoy taking our dog for hikes and swims and kayaking the beautiful lakes and rivers and in the winters skiing and snowshoeing.
