I grew up in Holland, Michigan, and moved to Maple City in 2022. I have a wonderful wife who grew up in Leelanau County, and two amazing kiddos who also go to Glen Lake Community Schools. We enjoy everything this area has to offer. When I am not teaching, I love anything outdoors, especially all things related to deer hunting. Our family goes camping and hiking every year, keeps bees, and spends a lot of time exploring woods and beaches.
I have been teaching since 2012, after graduating from Grand Valley State University. I have taught eight years of kindergarten, two years of fourth grade, and now am teaching first grade. I received my Master's in Educational Leadership from Fort Hays State University. I am passionate about making the learning process engaging and helping to foster a love for learning.
