I moved to this beautiful area after my first five years of teaching downstate in Hart, my hometown. I've been teaching high school English at Glen Lake since 2003. I love teaching at Glen Lake: my kind and dedicated colleagues; our amazing, talented students; and the supportive leadership make this a very special place. Sharing and growing love for reading and expression in writing, speaking, and thinking makes every day a great day to be a Laker! I earned a B.A. and Secondary Teaching Certificate from Michigan State University and a Master's in Education in English from Grand Valley State University.

Mr. Wassa is also an educator-fifth grade, in the Benzie district. Our two sons, Ben and Max, are enthusiastic Lakers. My passions are reading, cooking, hiking, biking, kayaking, beach-going, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
