BIO

I started my teaching career at Glen Lake as a second-grade teacher in 2001. For most of my time here I've taught 5th through 8th grade. I love working with this age group and am continuously inspired by their perseverance, kindness, honesty and humor. Prior to teaching, I worked at Saturn Corporation as a designer, product engineer and manager. I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University, a Bachelor of Arts from University of Michigan, and a Master of Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. When I am not teaching or coaching tennis, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children. I also like to cook, canoe, mountain bike, garden, camp, travel and do woodworking.
