The Fall Flannel Festival Food Drive kicks off today! Drop any non-perishable food items in the boxes located in the superintendent's lobby, Middle School hallway or outside the High School office anytime this week to support Leelanau Christian Neighbor! The winner of the food drive (elementary, middle or high school) will be announced at the Fall Flannel Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28th.

Glen Lake Community Schools is hosting two community conversations about the November 5th bond election. District leaders will share detailed information about the proposed projects and answer specific questions about the bond request. The first Community Conversation is October 1 from 9-10am and the second is October 21st from 6-7pm, both in the auditeria.

The Glen Lake PTO is kicking off the 2024/2025 school year with their first meeting on Monday, September 16th at 6:30pm in the elementary library.
We hope you'll join for a little meet-and-greet, hear what's new from the Principal, and plunge into the latest news and updates on PTO projects. We want to hear your ideas, suggestions and thoughts during our open floor meeting.

If you made your way out to the Northwestern Michigan Fair this week I'm sure you saw many Glen Lake students and their 4H projects. Proud of all these students for the hard work and dedication it takes to get to this week. There were many championship banners and ribbons to be seen hanging over Laker pens.

The Cedar / Maple City Lions Club is hosting a Propane Refill Sale Fundraiser at Cherry Propane (4200 E Traverse Hwy, TC) on Saturday, June 22nd 10am-5pm. Proceeds to benefit Local Community.

8th graders Ella Frixen and Hailey Braden competed in the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association Junior High Equestrian meet that was held in Gaylord on June 1. They placed 4th overall in Division C.


Congratulations to the Glen Lake Golf team for a great run at the State Finals this weekend. The team finished 12th out of 18 teams that competed over the 2 days. Huge shoutout to Michael Houtteman who finished 2nd overall in Division 4 out of 113 golfers.
The PTO Meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5th is cancelled. We hope everyone has a great summer!

District Champs! Congratulations on 2 stellar wins today with a (10-0) win over LLSM in the Semifinal and (12-0) win over Suttons Bay in the Finals. They will now play Marion on Wednesday at Glen Lake. Game time is 5pm and please remember GoFan tickets are required.

Good Luck to members of the Track and Field team that will be competing tomorrow at the Division 4 State Finals in Hudsonville.

Please Join Us for the 2nd Annual Glen Lake Schools Foundation Fundraiser on Thursday, June 6th from 5:30-8:30 pm at The Three Barn Farm. There will be cocktails, Hors D'oeuvres, student performances and live and silent auctions.
Funds support under-resourced children in our school community. Tickets are $75/person and are limited.
